Thanks for great software. You really need a new theme though, or at least start linking to the actual download.

InfraRecorder ceased to finalize the disc is the problem

Fabulous work! InfraRecorder is one of my favorite CD/DVD burning applications. You can’t beat the small footprint and I love the ability to save projects to ISO format!
Thanks again.

InfraRecorder ne finaliziruet disk v chem problema
March 9th, 2011 at 11:17 am
After recording a mp3 CD, InfraRecorder not had verification of the data, although a check in the settings set (Win7 32-bit). In this case, issued a message that verification carried out.

I still have the problem (BUG?) that when i’m finished burning a cd or dvd and check the content on the disk without closing infrarecorder, the disk is empty. After closing infrarecorder and reopen explorer to view the content of the disk, it’s available.
Is that a bug?

Thank you for making this as a open source program. It’s a joy to use something simple but working and non secretive.

November 11th, 2011 at 2:44 am
any way of getting cdtext to work? other than having to enter each tracj name one by one? could it pull the info from the mp3 file like many others do. this is the one and only thing that i have to keep another burner for the cdtext just has never worked for me right.
thank you

thanks for IR big time, man!
just 2 things:
- with IR 046 portable on XPsp2 when burning music CDs from mp3 files, the mp3 files had to be CBR for the music CD to play on my Stereo CD Player; VBR did not get converted to music on CD – hope this has been fixed in IR 052, did not test it yet
- with IR 052 portable on XPsp2 I’m unable to readjust the ratio of the upper vs lower half of the screen with the horizontal bar when making projects – this has been working with IR 046 portable
Overall, IR shows how software is meant to be: straightforward & clean
If it gets regular bugfixes and an additional usefull update here and there (like CD text), it will easily be the best burning software around

A small gem… I know ‘Infrarecorder’ since the very early versions; and when I discovered that the Free/Open Source World Software had a CD ‘burner’ for Windows that was of quality, small, elegant, cute, responsive etc. , I was fulfilled with joy.
Not only is a gem in the Free/Open Source World of Software; it is a gem in the Windows world of software.
Many proprietary, commercial or freeware burners for Windows, lag behind ‘Infrarecorder’ in terms of quality, size, cuteness, elegance, usability etc. And, those that have more features, are too heavy, bloated and complex to be compared to ‘Infrarecorder’.
I am mostly a user of other FLOSS (Free Libre Open Source Software) Operating Systems based on Linux, BSD, or even others like Haiku, Menuet OS, or Syllable that are now quite usable, nice and responsive, but when I have to use a PC with Windows installed in it, one of the first things I do is install ‘Infrarecorder’.
Even if Linux have very nice ‘burner’ Applications, I just would like to have ‘Infrarecorder’ in other operating systems too. I am wondering about the possibilities of it to be ported to other OSes.
Anyway, thanks for this small gem. I am just going to install the last version in a Windows PC, that I have to use now momentariness. So far, I have encountered few problems with this software; some small ones in some version of some years ago, but nothing since the 0.4x ones. Except, maybe that sometimes I couldn’t burn some DVD ISO images, not sure why… I will report if I found something in this last one.
Anyway, for me, ‘Infrarecorder’ is an ‘ULTRArecorder’; so:
HATS OFF! to the project leader, and other collaborators of the ‘Infrarecorder’ software Gem…
Keep on Rocking!

Any other updates coming soon?

Any chance for Blu-Ray support ? That would be fantastic! Thanks

Great prog. Verify function is a little buggy. Most of the time it goes to about 2% then stops. Once in a great while the verify function completes 100%.
January 4th, 2012 at 2:02 am
C’est le seul freeware qui sait faire une copie directe : Disc to Disc.
On attend la profaine version. (qui prendra la gestion des flac?)
Merci Beaucoup

I think it would be great have a new version of this good program. Blu-Ray support would be welcome.
May 8th, 2012 at 2:13 am
Is development still ongoing?
January 19th, 2013 at 7:05 pm
Don’t think it is. But infrarecorder is still good.
