Version 0.44
November 10th, 2007Finally, the new version is here! I’ll let the changelog speak for itself.
Finally, the new version is here! I’ll let the changelog speak for itself.
It has come to my attention that a company called AppZilla has created a commercial shareware version of InfraRecorder. They have replaced the original copyright notices and license with their own. They refuse to release the source code under the terms that was given to them and clearly violates the GPL license that InfraRecorder is released under.
I don’t want to link to their website from here, a URL is available among the comments from the previous news post. I don’t encourage anyone to download their modified software, it may contain malicious code. It’s possible that it’s not functional at all.
I thought that a word of warning was in place since their modified software is available at some major software sites like for example download.com.
Thanks to the user called paranoid for bringing this to my attention.
And now some good news. I will release the translation information for the upcoming version of InfraRecorder this week and the new version will be released shortly after.
I know there has been a lack of news lately, but InfraRecorder is still very much in development. Since I am off schedule and have re-prioritized which features/bugs that needs to be taken care of, the roadmap is no longer representative.
Thanks for your patience.
Version 0.43.1 has been released. It does not contain any new features, but corrects some bugs with the previous version. View the changelog here.
The SourceForge community choice awards 2007 has started, to nominate InfraRecorder visit this page (you will need to be a registered SourceForge member).
Version 0.43 is now available. The changelog can be viewed here.
InfraRecorder version 0.42 revision 1 has been released. This version does not contain any new features at all, a few major errors in version 0.42 has been corrected. The short changelog can be viewed here. This update is recommended for all users. Please uninstall any previous versions of InfraRecorder if installing the new version from an installer.
Finally version 0.42 is here. I’ll update the MP3 plug-in tomorrow, I need to catch some sleep.
The upcoming release has been somewhat delayed. Mainly because I have been very busy lately and because the transition to VC8 and the 64-bit compiler was not very smooth. There is still a little more work that needs to be done. I have uploaded the new English translation file and plan on releasing the new version as soon as all active translators have updated their translations.
Version 0.41 is now available. The changes are listed on this page.
The new version can be downloaded as an archive. Existing users may extract the archive contents and replace the files in the InfraRecorder installation directory. No re-installation is necessary.

I have uploaded the new translation file for version 0.41. The changes can be viewed here. The development is a little behind schedule due to some problems implementing the support for boot discs.
I have also uploaded the MP3 plug-in needed to encode MP3 files. The binaries and sources are available here.
I plan on releasing InfraRecorder 0.41 later this week.
